Obscure first English edition, of this novel that appears much more poular in France than it does in England or America. The novel tells the tale of Peggy Salte’s life from 1909 – 1978, in a mountain community in upstate New York. The book perhaps most notable for the greatest 80s (fashion) dust jacket ever, designed by Beverley Ann Levy. A near fine copy.
