ROMBOUTS, Tony and Eddy AUSLOOS. Les Demoiselles de la Mer.

(Antwerp, Belgium): Contramine, 1975.  First edition.  Softcover.  30.4cm by 21cm.  Unpaginated. Cool artist’s book combining twelve playful, self-described “kitsch” poems by Flemish poet Tony Rombouts with bold linocut illustrations by Eddy Ausloos.  The volume was printed on a pedal-operated platen press (Weiler’s Liberty Nationaal) in an edition of 150 numbered copies.  Part of a small poetry series (“Contramine Poëziereeks”) that published experimental, boutique poetry volumes in Belgium during 1970s.  A very good copy in printed wrappers with illustration by Ausloos.  WorldCat locates four copies all in The Netherlands.
