VISSER, Ed. Paradiso Poster Collection 1972-1983.

(Koog aan de Zaan, The Netherlands): Black Box, 2006.  First edition.  29.5cm by 21.3cm.  Unpaginated.  Scarce tribute to Martin Kaye who designed and screen-printed all the posters for Paradiso from 1972 to 1983. Kaye’s workshop was located in the basement of Paradiso.  He is now regarded as one of the major figures in the history of Dutch screen-printing art.  Characteristic of his work were the custom-designed letters he cut himself in screen-print film—bold, clear, and large. His use of gradient printing, which created a colorful rainbow effect, became his trademark.  The volume includes a list of all the posters produced and a silkscreen of re-issue of a Herman Brood poster.  A good copy in spiral bound wrappers, lacking the DVD and postcard set.  Published in an edition of 250 numbered copies.
