SASAKI, Kyo. Yacchimae! Do It!

(Tokyo): Byakuya Publishing Co., Ltd, 1984.  First edition.  Softcover.  23.6cm by 18.1cm  171 pages.  Issued as a special issue (october, 1984) of the magazine Shashin Jidai (Photography Era).  Japanese photographer Kyo Sasaki, also known as “Machine Gun Kyo,” was celebrated for his daring street photography and documentation of Tokyo’s vibrant street culture.  This volume offers a portraits of 340 women photographed over a period of 15 years. Presented predominately in monochrome, the images arent portraits, or simple nudes but a hybrid style, of both, and the ‘straight up’ documentary/fashion photography pioneered by i-D Magazine. A very good copy in wrappers.  Super cool.
