WISSE, Pieter. I Believe in 88

(Amsterdam): Fonds BVKB, 2009. First edition. Oblong quarto. 96 pages. Introduction by Klaus Farin, text in English, Dutch and German. Photographic documentation of the daily life of a group of neo-nazis in former East Germany. A disturbing work, what is disturbing, is the normality. Neo-Nazis while eating spaghetti. Neo-Nazis washing clothes, doing groceries, watching TV, posing for cuddly family-pics, being close with their partner, playing soccer with their kids. There are the flags and picture on the wall, they cannot be overseen, omnipresent, and there are the tattoos and the t-shirts and coats with slogans. But, still they have the same fitted kitchens, the same creepy furniture in the living-room, and live in the same row houses like hundreds and thousands of other families. A fine copy in photo-illustrated boards without dust jackets. This copy signed by the photographer.
