(SOLD): Seven Demands.
(London): See Red Women’s Workshop, no date (c.1974). Screened-printed poster. Scarce poster from the collective who were interested in the visual aspect of the ‘Woman’s Struggle’ and produced posters to, amongst other reasons, combat the images of ‘model women.’ Over the years, around 40 women worked in the workshop, producing materials for multiple causes including informational posters and pamphlets for the Abortion Law Reform Association, as well as anti-racist posters, and Women’s Liberation calendars. This powerful example details seven of the concepts that were developed at the National Women’s Liberation Conferences of the early 1970s. The poster measures approx.30cm by 78cm and is in good condition, lightly worn at edges with pinhole to corners, and two stray smudges to the bottom edge.
