(SOLD): RUGGIERI, Toty. Diamond Dogs Officina Post Industriale: 1984-1987 Napoli.
(Italy): Yard Press, 2016. First edition. Octavo. Unpaginated. Cool photographic documentation of the hip Naples Diamond Dogs club. Following its earthquake in 1980, whilst Naples was in the grip of unprecedented societal issues and structural failures, artists, musicians, and writers were driving their own mini-cultural revolution. This all paved the way for a unique group, the “Selvaggi Napoletani” or “Neapolitan Savages” — who rose up from the bowels of the city and congregated at Diamond Dogs club, an enclave of creativity and debauchery. This volume documents the happenings at the club over a period of three years. Texts by Salvio Cusano and Paolo Pontoniere. A near fine copy in boards without dust jacket as issued. Published in an edition of just 300 copies.
