(No place): Hannibal & Jan Rosseel 2015.  First trade edition.  Quarto.  Unpaginated.  A fascinating account of Jan Rosseel’s personal search for the Gang of Nivelles, made up of pictures and documents, reminiscences and references. “The Gang of Nivelles”, committed twenty-three robberies and other crimes. a series of violent and bloody robberies of Belgian supermarkets, between 1982 and 1985, in all, twenty-eight people were killed including the father of the author . In spite of a thorough police investigation, a file of almost three million pages, found evidence and witness accounts, the gang were never apprehended. This period of terror and violence will remain one of the darkest pages in Belgian history. Almost thirty years later, the case remains unresolved. This book accompanies the exhibition “Belgian Autumn: A Confabulated History” at FoMu, Antwerp, from June 25 until October 4, 2015.  A fine copy in boards with two separate brochures l’Amateur d’ armes of 10 pages and a brochure of 10 pages without title with illustrations of cars laid-in as issued.   This example signed by the author on the title-page.  There was an earlier, private edition of 28 copies (to match the number of victims).  Both editions now virtually impossible to find.
