MATSUI, Colin. R.I.P. Sean Bell.

(Brooklyn, NY): Mr. Matsui, 2008.  First edition.  Elephant folio.  Unpaginated.  The day before his wedding, Sean Bell was shot and killed by the New York Police Department in a barrage of 50 bullets. Although the officers have admitted to slaying the unarmed Bell, they remain free and acquitted of all charges of unlawful killing. Matsui responds to this unpunished killing with this provocative zine documenting and commentating on this story of politics, corruption, and murder. Each zine was personally shot fifty times with .40 caliber and 9MM handguns, respectively. The package includes the zine, stickers, and gun shells.  A good copy in stapled wrappers, intentionally damaged with gun shot, housed in a Ziploc bag with stickers and bullet shells..  Published in an edition of 50 numbered copies.  A scarce and thought-provoking publication.
