(Paris): Se Trouve Chez L’Auteur, F. Libron, 1933. First edition. Large, thick folio. V, 178 pages and forty inset plates. Preface by Louis Barthou. Avant-Propos by the authors. A magnificent work covering every aspect of the corset including detailed cutting patterns and technical information for the tailor. The volume is illustrated throughout with fashion plates facsimiles and in-text illustrations. This volume includes the separate suite of 18 loose full-sized prints, some in colour. A very good copy in gilt-lettered cream wrappers housed in grey faux alligator slipcase. A beautiful, and the definitive, work on the corset that is unlikely to be superseded.
