Wonderful catalogue for the joint exhibition of the same title at Caermerskoolster, Provincaal Centrum voor Kunst & Cultuur, Gent, February 13 – April 18, 2004. Huyben, a fashion designer and her husband a horticulturist formed a strange combination but a collaboration that an explosion of creativity at the turn of the century. The volume is a duo portrait composed of clippings and interviews, photos and invitations, parades of fashion and trees, instructions for performances and drawings for gardens, atmospheric images and ideas. ‘Rood Veld/Champ Rouge’ is a fascinating collage that talks about their search and rise from the early nineties to their eponymous project in the Caermersklooster in 2004. An ode to their imagination and wonder, a beautiful scrapbook to wander endlessly in. A very good copy in card covers.
