HUNTER, Paul. Needle of Death: An Addict’s Day and an Examination of the British Heroin Scene.

(London): Studio Vista, 1967.  First edition.  Small oblong quarto.  64 pages.  Illustrated with photographs by M.J. Delaney, the volume is a stark and harrowing examination of a day in the life of a young heroin addict.  The volume also includes a contemporary objective examination of legislation for dealing with drug addiction by Brenda Jordan and Ken Leech.  A very good copy, in wrappers, of this scarce volume that seldom appears for sale.  Wrappers worn along edges, with small loss of cover surface at bottom right corner.
