Amongst the subjects covered are the typography of psychological warfare, newspaper typography, the engravings and book decorations of John Nash, the book illustrations of Mervyn Peake, the posters of the Beggarstaff Brother, early alphabets by Eric Gill and much more. Illustrated throughout, including fold-out plates. A good set, volumes one – four in spiral bound wrappers and five to eight in card covers with paper jacket. Some issues with wear but still a nice solid set. Volumes housed in matching grey card cassette cases.
