(SOL:D): GABARDI, Melissa. Jean Despres: maestro orafo tra art deco e avanguardie.

(Milan): Idea Books, 1999.  First edition.  Quarto.  207 pages.  A nice overview, Italian text, of the work of Jean Després, a French jewellery maker and designer best known for his intricate Art Deco jewellery made from semi-precious stones, machine parts, and enamel. Després’ aesthetics were largely inspired by his friendships with avent-garde artists, including the Cubist Georges Braque.  Illustrated throughout.  A near fine copy in dust jacket.
