(Japan): Hachimonjiya, 1999.  First edition.  Small square quarto.  Unpaginated.  Text in English, French and Japanese.  Superb photo documentation of the cats of Kyoto, hiding in alley’s, lounging on streets, hunting, sleeping, playing.  Fusayoshi was the proprietor of Kyoto’s Honyarado, a coffee shop in the Demachi district once a famous gathering spot for the city’s literati and proponents of the avant-garde scene (until it burned down in 2015) it also functioned as the first neko café even before the concept had been created.  A very good copy in card covers with paper dust jacket.  A wonderful volume that pays homage to the unyielding love Japan harbours for cats.  Rare, Worldcat locates a single copy.
