FUJII, Yoshikatsu. Hiroshima Graph – Everlasting Flow.
(Hiroshima): Self-published, 2020. First edition. Quarto. 340 pages. Text in Japanese and English. An amazing work, seen through the eyes of a third generation atomic bomb victim, (the photographer’s grandmother), in Hiroshima city, the photo series attempts to shed new light on the disappearing traces from the war, so as to pass it on to the future generation. Illustrated with personal and familiar images as well as archival material, including fold-out images, the volume is an intense and overwhelming testimony of the horror of a bombing, and touching tribute to his grandmother Hisako Fujii and all other survivors. Published in an edition of 75 numbered copies signed and handbound by the photographer and includes a water resistant paper print. A near fine copy of this beautiful work which understandably sold-out on publication.
