(SOLD): COTON, A.V. The New Ballet.
(London): Dennis Dobson, 1946. First edition. Quarto. 156 pages. A beautifully produced study of the Kurt Jooss ballet company, and its dances giving insight to the modern choreography Jooss employed. The volume is illustrated with a number of plates depicting costume designs as well as photographic illustrations. A very good copy in dust jacket. Jacket with repaired tear at the head of the spine. This example inscribed by the author to Ossia Trilling, one of the most assiduous chroniclers of theatre. A superb association with programmes for two, (and tickets for one), of Jooss’ ballets laid-in. .
