(Paris): Oeuvres Sociales du Cinema, 1943.  First edition.  Oblong octavo.  Unpaginated.  Preface by Louis Galey.  This stylish brochure was published to commemorate the third year of the “Comité d’Organisation de l’Industrie Cinématographique” (COIC: Committee for the Organization of the Cinema Industry), an organization created by the Nazis in the first months of the occupation. The COIC was to oversee and manage film production in occupied France.  The brochure contains various articles on the movie industry, as well as advertisement pages, for film companies, magazines and high end fashion retail as well as film related illustrations by Lucien Boucher, Jean Cocteau, Georges Lepape, Guy Arnoux, Herve Baille, A.E. Marty and many others.  A good copy in spiral bound decorative wrappers, with title pasted on front cover. A couple of leaves free from binding.  Published in an edition of 700 numbered copies printed on papier d’art.
