This publication juxtaposes Murtha’s intimate portrayals of working-class communities in 1970s and 1980s Newcastle with Shames’ vivid documentation of youth and marginalized groups in the United States during the same era. Through this transatlantic dialogue, the book explores themes of poverty, resilience, and the universal struggles of youth across different cultures.  Includes a brief biography of both photographers.  A very good copy published in an edition of 150 copies, although this not numbered.  This copy signed by Stephen Shames.  Rare.
