BEECH, Sandy. Leather Jacket Lovers.
(Hollywood, CA): Manager Music / Different Music Co., (c.1963). First edition. Vinyl record. 7″ Single. Released by the mysterious but supercool Camp Records who in the 1960s released an album and ten 45 rpm records of gay parody songs, most done with effeminate voices. An amusing characteristic of the records they issued was the “label numbers” they gave them. Almost all of them are tongue-in-cheek gay references, the label number here being TS2U. The track here was advertised as “chains, whips, knives, and leather belts all swished around together in this bone jarring Rock ‘n’ Roll.” B-side is What Can the Matter Be, by Byrd E. Bath. The disc appears a little marked, housed in pictorial sleeve which is worn, with tears along edges, splitting at seams. All the releases from Camp Records, are now difficult to locate.
