Arte Di Frontiera: New York Graffiti / Quattordio Graffiti.

First edition.  Small square quarto.  Two volumes.  The first volume, New York Graffiti, documents the first exhibition of American graffiti in Italy, the exhibition opened in March of 1984 at the Galleria d’Arte Moderna, before travelling to both Milan and Rome.  The volume, in Italian and English, contains essays by Francesca Alinova, Tony Shalfrazi, a glossary of Hip-Hop terms and is illustrated throughout with examples of works Futura 2000, Keith Haring, Basquiat, Lee Quinones, Crash, Toxic One, Daze and many others.  The second volume Quattordio Graffiti, Italian text, documents the artworks at the IVI paint factory, in the village of Quattordio, carried out by PHASE II, Rammellzee, Delta 2, Ero, and other New York graffiti legends as part of their italian tour in 1984.  Both volumes in very good condition in dust jackets housed in the publisher’s matching slipcase.
