ARBUS, Doon. Alice in Wonderland: The Forming of a Company and the Making of a Play.
(New York, NY): Merlin House, 1974. First edition. Oblong quarto. 165 pages. An account, via text edited by Doon Arbus from a series of interviews with Andre Gregory and the six members of the Manhattan Project in which they recount the forming of their company and how they made Alice in Wonderland into a play. The volume also includes the full text of the play and is accompanied by a series of photographs by Richard Avedon that interpret the moments from the final production. A very good copy, some hinges pulled, in dust jacket. Jacket with a couple of closed tears to top edge. A nice copy of this scarce, bizarre and fascinating version of Alice.
