(No place): [Irish Republican Movement, no date (1974). First edition. Poster. Rare poster issued by the Irish Republic Movement to commemorate the Easter Rising. The Easter Rebellion, was an armed insurrection in Ireland during Easter Week, April 1916. The Rising was launched by Irish republicans to end British rule in Ireland and establish an independent Irish Republic while the United Kingdom was heavily engaged in the First World War. Poster contains Poblacht na hÉireann text which translates as a Proclamation of the Irish Republic. The poster measures approx. 61cm by 43cm and is in good condition, small piece missing from right hand edge, light creasing to corners. Ink number to verso.
