MAX, Peter. The Bronx Yellow pages, 1970-71.
(New York): New York Telephone Co., 1970. A fantastic example of 'straight society' embracing the psychedelic counter-culture. This is the official yellow pages telephone book with a wonderful cover design / illustration by Peter Max. During the Summer of 1970 it was rumoured that many Bronx residents experienced (LSD) contact highs and some authorities blamed this publication suggesting that the cover had been dosed in a street version of 'moby grape' one of the more potent batches of LSD to hit the streets. This copy in very nice condition in illustrated wrappers, internal pages age toned. A superb relic from the psychedelic era.
